Scripture Reading Plan

  • This week’s scripture reading includes Matthew 24 to 25, known as the Olivet Discourse. In this passage, Jesus delves into the concept of the end of time and his second coming. While discussions about the Apocalypse often pique our curiosity about the timeline of end-time events and the specifics of what will transpire, Jesus’ primary focus is on preparing us for his return. Instead of dwelling on the future, he emphasizes the importance of persistence in faith amidst temptations and challenges. The revelation of the future is always intended to guide our actions and choices in the present.

  • Holy Week Online Multimedia devotional materials will be available for congregants from Palm Sunday to Easter. Register at universe.com/westside for the link.

  • Maundy Thursday Meditation & Holy Communion will be on April 17 at 8:00 pm (English). Register at universe.com/westside.

  • Easter Sunday (April 20) bilingual services at 9:00 am and 11:00 am, with baptisms during the second service. Register at universe.com starting April 5. The April 19 Saturday service is cancelled.

  • The Youth Camp at Trinity Western University is from May 16–19, 2025, for XP3, Gzone, and Adiel students. Details and registration: https://tinyurl.com/2s3dw468

  • Adiel Fellowship is selling tiramisu online from March 1 to April 13 to fund youth camp. Orders will be distributed on April 19, 20. All proceeds will support the camp. More details: https://tinyurl.com/y7vu8cu2

  • The church is planning a short-term mission trip to Bolivia in August. Contact Pastor Patrick or Tommy Tung for more info.

  • The March Deacon Board Meeting summary is posted on the church website and bulletin board. Please check for updates.

  • The church and Canadian Blood Services will host a blood donation event at the 4750 Oak St station on July 5 at 1:00 p.m. Please register online to participate. For details, see the bulletin board or contact Jessica Ho.
