Scripture Reading Plan

  • This week’s Bible reading plan begins with 1 Timothy and Titus, followed by 2 Timothy. These letters are commonly known as the Pastoral Epistles, because the recipients, Timothy and Titus, were entrusted with pastoral responsibilities. Paul had a close relationship with Timothy, whom he called his beloved and faithful son, while Titus was a Gentile convert to Christ who became Paul’s coworker. 1 Timothy discusses church ministry and leadership, Titus focuses on the conduct expected of Christians, and all the Pastoral Epistles address false teachings and false teachers.

    • October 13 (Monday): 1Timothy 3:1-16

    • October 14 (Tuesday): 1Timothy 4:1-16

    • October 15 (Wednesday): 1Timothy 5:1-25

    • The criteria and procedures for the deacon election have been posted on the bulletin board. Please read them carefully. If needed, nomination forms can be obtained from the church office.

    • All nominees must be reviewed and recommended by the Nomination Committee.

      • Nomination Begins: September 20

      • Nomination Deadline: October 19

      • Announcement of Deacon Candidates: November 8

      • Deacon Election: November 23

      • The Deacon Election will be held online via Election Buddy
