Scripture Reading Plan
1 & 2 Peter were written to encourage and strengthen believers who were facing persecution, helping them to remain steadfast in their faith while waiting for Christ’s return. 1 Peter emphasizes hope, witness, and perseverance in suffering, reminding the church that believers are God’s chosen people and a royal priesthood. 2 Peter warns against false teachers and moral corruption, urging believers to continue growing in godliness, character, and faith as they await Christ’s coming. Together, these letters call the church to live faithfully and courageously, holding firm to their faith in a hostile and unbelieving world.”
