We would like to extend our warm welcome to today’s guest speaker, Rev. Antony Law. Pastor Antony is the Connection East Asia Regional Director (Pacific) of Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) .

The online voting for the 2025-2027 deacon election has been completed. Out of 260 members, a total of 194 participated in the vote, exceeding the bylaw quorum requirement of 20% of active members, which is 52 people. The votes for each candidate are as follows:

• Dick Chan: Agree 188, Oppose 0, Abstain 6

• Jason Kwok: Agree 179, Oppose 5, Abstain 10

• Arlene Manaloto: Agree 171, Oppose 5, Abstain 18

• Monica Tong: Agree 184, Oppose 3, Abstain 7

• Jackson Yu: Agree 187, Oppose 0, Abstain 7

• According to the bylaw, they were elected.

The church planned to have the following outreach events during the Christmas season.

• Clothing Drive – Dec 14,15,21,22,24

• Christmas Carolling – December 22 between 2– 3pm at Marine Gateway. The church is recruiting singers. Practice Date: Sunday, December 15, 2024.Time: 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Please register at universe.com/carolling

• Candlelight service on December 24. The church is recruiting children choir members and adult choir members. Please register at universe.com/carolling

• Marpole Cares Christmas Hamper packing – Volunteers are needed to help prepare the gift baskets. Please register at universe.com/hamper

• Hopeful gifts for Change – the church encourage congregants to support this program organized by CBM. Donation can be made directly through the CBM website.

Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Toy Shop! With the help of community members and organizations, this program aims to ensure that children from low-income families receive gifts during Christmas. Six brothers and sisters from our church have signed up. However, we still need more volunteers to help set up and operate the toy shop each Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, located at 3213 Fraser St. Even if you can only join for one Tuesday, we welcome you to participate. Please contact Pastor Patrick after worship service if you want to participate.
