January 6 marks the day of Epiphany, ushering in a new season on the Christian Calendar. The word “Epiphany” means “appearance” or “manifestation.” During this season, we focus on reflecting on the ministry of Jesus, starting with His baptism.
From now until the beginning of Lent, we will journey through the narratives of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, and Luke, covering the period from His baptism to just before His final entrance into Jerusalem. As you read these Gospel stories, pay close attention to how the glory of God is revealed in the life of Jesus. Let these accounts deepen your understanding and appreciation of His mission and ministry.
