Fellowship Life

Scripture Reading Plan

  • This week, we continue our study of the Gospel of Matthew.

  • Take note of the alternating pattern between Jesus’ teachings and actions. How do his words and deeds reinforce each other?

  • What differences have you observed between Matthew and Luke?

  • In what ways was Jesus preparing his disciples for his crucifixion, and how did they respond to his prophecies?

Announcements

  • Christian Education is at Room E between 10:45 - 11:45am. Topic: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality.

  • Monthly bulletin has already posted on the church website and bulletin board.

  • If your total donations made in 2024 is CAD$20 or above, you should have received a donation tax receipt via email. Please check your junk or spam mail folder or contact the church office immediately if you have not received it.

  • GZone will be selling grilled cheese sandwiches and matcha lattes on Sunday, February 23 in between EM service and CM service. Please remember to bring cash, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards funding the youth attending youth camp in May.

  • The church will be hosting the following events on Ash Wednesday, March 5:

    • Labyrinth Meditation Retreat: Theme: “To Encounter God in Worry and Stress.” Participants can book a one-hour time slot between 12:00 PM and 5:30 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM). Introductory materials, guided reflections, and meditation resources will be provided. Advance registration is required at universe.com/westside.

    • Praise and Worship Night: Themed “Down,” this service will take place at 7:30 PM. No registration is required, and there will be no children’s program.

    • All are welcome to join!

  • The church will be organizing a short-term mission trip to Bolivia in August. Those interested in participating, please contact Pastor Patrick or Tommy Tung.

  • The church is organizing a Youth Camp from May 16–19, 2025 at Trinity Western University. The camp is for students in XP3, Gzone, and Adiel.
