Scripture Reading Plan
This week in our Bible reading plan, we will finish 1 Corinthians and begin 2 Corinthians. The most well-known passage in 1 Corinthians is Paul’s chapter on love in chapter 13. The believers in the Corinthian church were wealthy and possessed various gifts of speech and knowledge, and were rich in spiritual gifts (1 Cor. 1:5–6). In chapter 12, Paul discusses the distribution and use of spiritual gifts, emphasizing the importance of diversity in unity. However, Paul stresses even more that love is the greatest gift. Finally, Paul addresses issues of order in worship gatherings (chapter 14), speaks on the resurrection of believers, and concludes by responding to questions about giving.
Reading Plan for this week:
August 3 (Sunday): 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
August 4 (Monday): 1 Corinthians 14:1-19
August 5 (Tuesday): 1Corinthians 14:20-40
August 6 (Wednesday): 1 Corinthians 15:1-28
August 7 (Thursday): 1 Corinthians 15:29-58
August 8 (Friday): 1 Corinthians 16:1-24
August 9 (Saturday): 2 Corinthians 1:1-24
August 10 (Sunday): 2 Corinthians 2:1-17
